Wallace Lafayette Morris, 82, of Eads, passed away on January 18, 2014. He was a U.S. Army veteran, retired barber and carpenter and was a member of Bethel Pentecostal Church. Mr. Morris, the widower of Frances M. Morris, is survived by two daughters, Terry Paige and Rosemary Wright, both of Memphis; three sons, Ray Morris of Buntin, SC, James Morris of Eads and Jerome Morris of Plano, TX; four sisters, Captola Johnson, Melba Lester, Ann Mellear and Wanda McDaniel; three brothers, Paul, Bill and Ricky Morris; eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Imogene Stavely. The family will receive friends this evening, Monday, January 20 from 5-7 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 21 at the funeral home with interment to follow in Memorial Gardens.
