I am Steve’s aunt. I was there the day he was born, bringing such joy to my sister, Sue and her husband, Myron. My memories go back a long ways, remembering Steve playing with all his cousins at Holidays at my Mother and Dad’s.  Sue, Myron and Steve spending vacations with my family in Atlanta, driving down to Pensacola, FL, going to the Gulf Shores of Mississippi and Alabama! So many good memories! I had two long telephone conversations with Steve after the death of his Dad. We had reminisced about the past and enjoyed talking together so much! I was so shocked and saddened by his passing. I loved him very much and pray God’s peace for Wanda, and the Children and Grandchildren!  Aunt Shirley

A really good guy.steve was a great co-worker who cared about things being done right.He always spoke to me and made conversations with me as well.I work with him 14 years.He always  spoke up for what he felt was right.The sign of a true servant of god..I believe he was a godly man.By the way he treated everyone.He looked hard but was a gentle giant.In my eyes that's how he was.I believe people like him has a special place to go. Only the chosen few will be there.Im a black guy born in the sixties when racism was tough. I had a friend who was white.I wasn't taught to be prejudice ..when I say Steve made me feel like he was a friend .prays go out too his family. HE,S IN GOOD HANDS NOW.NO MORE WORRIES.GOD SPEED STEVE.U WILL ALWAYS BE THOUGHT OF IN MY MEMORIES...

Steve was one of our city drivers at Fedex.  I was one of his dispatchers for 4 years. He was always friendly and polite to everyone he met and a friend to all that knew him. You could always count on him to get the job done correctly. Most evenings when he came in he told a great story of his day and how things went that day. He was a honest and trustworthy friend. My prayers and thought to all his family in this time of loss. He will be deeply missed by his Fedex family.

Steve will be greatly missed by all those who loved him. My prayers go out to his sweet family. May God cover them with peace and strength to go forward day by day. 

Mr. Medlin was like a second father to me. He always had a joke or an impression. He could always put a smile on your face. But when needed he could be serious. I’ll never forget watching Tennessee football with him and Landon and talking Tennessee football. He truly bled orange. 

Hey Steve , what a beautiful day to be n the presence of the lord, we talked about so. Many things through the years but we always came back to jesus, will dearly miss u an will see u on the  other side luv u brother

I worked with Steve for 14 years as a driver at Fed until I retired last July.  We had a few conversations over the years and I believe there wasn't to many people that he didn't know.  Very outspoken and easy to get along with. He will be missed by many. My sincere condolences to the family.

Steve has delivered to my plant since 20 07.
He was one of those people that when you opened up a conversation he was definitely dedicated and engage in that conversation. He was customer-oriented and that went a long way with us at Phillips Emergency Lighting. We were so happy to see his truck back up at our dock, knowing we would get a good story, a good laugh, and some very well earned world wise wisdom. I certainly hate that I can't make fun of that deep voice you had and how you really knew how to take care of my employees on that dock.

Steve will be greatly missed. For the last 5 years, he has delivered to our building in Collierville. Every time he stepped foot in our lab, he always had a new story to tell! Most of the time it was always about Tennessee football so that kept our conversations going daily. Just a genuinely nice, humble human being and it was a great pleasure to work together for the same company, FedEx. Condolences to his family and friends. We will miss him.

I am so sorry for your loss.  I worked with Steve. We spoke often, in fact I just talked to him  at work.
