Peggy Ann Countess, 92, of Bartlett, passed away on Friday, December 20th. Peggy was born on October 10th, 1932, to John and Catherine Miller in Mason Hall, TN. After graduating from high school, she attended Memphis State University, where she earned a degree in Education. She taught elementary school for several years before becoming a full-time mom.
Peggy married her loving husband, Todd Countess, and settled in Memphis. Todd and Peggy had three children: Marty, Craig, and Russ. Peggy was a dedicated follower of Christ and had meaningful relationships at Bartlett Woods Church of Christ and Brownsville Road Church of Christ. In their lifetime, Todd and Peggy traveled to all 50 states, as well as several other countries. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Todd Countess; her brother, Jerry Miller; her sister, Sue Hatler; and her son, Marty Countess. She is survived by her sons, Craig Countess and Russ Countess; her grandchildren, Tiffany, Miller, Mary Margaret, Marissa, Grant, and Seth; and her great-grandchildren, Gunner, Sailor, and Remy
Services will be held at Memphis Funeral Home on Sunday, December 29th, at 1:00 PM.
Food and fellowship will occur Sunday, December 29, 2024 from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, TN 38133.
