Kevin Lee Murchison

Kevin Lee Murchison, a cherished husband, treasured father, loving son, beloved brother and loyal friend went to be with his Lord and Savior, November 28, 2024, at the age of 43. Kevin was born on February 15, 1981, in Memphis, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Val and Ethel Holcomb and Douglas and Wilma Murchison. He was the adored husband of Ginger Murchison and the proud father of Hunter Lee Murchison and Hayden Lane Murchison.

Kevin also leaves behind his devoted parents, Russell and Lillian Murchison, beloved brother Bradley, sister-in-law Allyson, niece Lila, nephew Colin, Uncle Tip Holcomb, Uncle Doug and Aunt Judy Wylie, many cousins and countless loving family members.

Kevin was a skilled fisherman, hunter and golfer but nothing brought him greater joy than teaching his two sons how to play baseball, the love of the game and coaching many of their teams. You will not find a baseball field in Tennessee or the surrounding states where someone didn't know Kevin or a kid that he most likely coached at one time or another.

Kevin never met a stranger, and it has long been believed and joked that he already knew everyone. He loved to talk, and to know him was to love him. Kevin's love of our Lord and Savior as well as his wife, two sons and family were unwavering.

A visitation for Kevin will be held Friday, December 6, 2024, from 9:00-11:00 at Ellendale Baptist Church, 3861 Broadway Road, Bartlett, TN 38135 with A Celebration of Life immediately following. Graveside service will proceed at Memphis Funeral Home, 3700 Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN as it held a special place in Kevin's heart.
