Johnnie R. Tucker, 77, of Lakeland, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Elizabeth Ann Puckett Tucker, two children Andrea Tucker West (Jim) and Mark Allen Tucker, three grandchildren, Nathan, Haley, and Lauren West, a sister, Diane Tucker Bellis (Johnny), a niece Zebrah Carson, three nephews Hunter and Caden Bellis, and Chuck Triplett and a mother-in-law Martha Puckett. Mr. Tucker worked for the U.S. Army Corps. of Engineers for 30 years and proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He was an avid Memphis Tigers and St. Louis Cardinals fan. He was also a Member at Trinity Reformed Baptist Church. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Reformed Baptist Church Building Fund. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 21 from 5-8pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. There will be a funeral on Thursday at 10 am also at the funeral home.
