The family and members of the South Tipton County community mourn the loss of a remarkable man, Jimmy Earle Brown of Bartlett, TN. He peacefully passed away on August 10,2023. Jimmy was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a highly respected member of the South Tipton County community where he owned businesses and spent much of his time.
Jimmy was born on Oct 20,1933 as the 10th child of his parents, joining a large and loving family of 15 siblings, all of whom preceded him in death. Throughout his life, Jimmy cherished the memories of his upbringing and the bond he shared with his brothers and sisters.
In 1951, Jimmy found his soulmate, Ola Mae Cooper Brown, with whom he shared a deep and loving marriage. Their journey together was filled with joy and companionship until Ola Mae's passing in 2013. Together, they raised a beautiful family and created a loving home.Jimmy was a dedicated and loving father to his children: Randy Earl Brown [Gail], James Glen Brown [Valerie], and Connie Brown Braden [James]. He took immense pride in their achievements and treasured the time spent with them.
As a grandfather, Jimmy's love knew no bounds. He adored his grandchildren and always made them feel special. His grandchildren include Amy Moss [David], David Brown [Kim], Matt McCann [Sara], Caroline Hannah [Cliff], Scott Penny [Allie], Casey Brown [Dusty], Jenny Orman [Jared], Mindy Brown, and Libby Brown. The 14 great-grandchildren brought him endless happiness, and he cherished each moment he spent with them.
He was a Veteran of the Korean War aboard the USS Carter Hall. Professionally, Jimmy was a distinguished figure. He dedicated 20 years of his life to Bluff City Electronics, where he excelled as the consumer products division manager. Later, his entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish his own ventures - Comfort Component Sales, Inc and Atoka Railroad Adventure in Atoka, TN. These accomplishments stand as a testament to his vision, determination, and hard work.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Jimmy was an active member of the community, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need and a member of First Assembly Memphis. His generosity and compassion touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
