Iris was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She was also an excellent gardener, cook and seamstress. Fishing was this country girl's favorite thing to do. She loved the outdoors, cats, birds, power walking, and watermelon. She also loved to laugh and play Skipbo with her best friend, Joyce and their neighbors. Iris was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church of Cordova, Tennessee where she was an active member of her ladies' Sunday School Class and sang alto in the Senior Adult Choir. Her favorite Scripture verse was Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Iris is preceded in death by her husband, Herman A. Trebing, Jr.; parents; siblings, Zenobia, James L., Thelma, Helen, Roderick, Ledford, Dennis, and Fred Vincent, Elizabeth Ballard, Billie Mae Snell; and son-in-law, Derek Faulkner.
Iris is survived by her son Timothy Trebing and his wife Susan of Loganville, Georgia, granddaughter, Rachael Bell and husband Dave, great grandchildren, Theo and Arthur Bell; grandson, Joel Trebing; grandson Tommy and wife Anita, great grandson, Benjamin; her daughter, Andrea Luttrull and husband Greg of Greenville, South Carolina, Grandson, Vanya Luttrull and wife Julie, granddaughter, Zoya Luttrull; her daughter, Valerie Faulkner of Greenville, South Carolina, grandson, Josh Faulkner and wife Kellie, great grandchildren Oliver and Emerie Faulkner and numerous, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service for Iris will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 2:00 PM Memphis Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Pkwy, Memphis, TN 38133.
