Donna Jeanes of Bartlett, TN passed away on Tuesday May 30 at the age of 65. She was born on June 27,1957 in Memphis, TN to the late W.G. Jeanes and Nadie Duncan Jeanes. Donna graduated from Bartlett High School in 1975 and attended Methodist School of Nursing. She worked at Methodist Hospital as an RN for over 30 years. Donna loved the University of Memphis Tigers basketball and rode horses from the time she was 8 years old. She loved going to Gulf Shores and spending time at her farm in Mississippi. Donna came to know and love our Lord Jesus Christ at an early age and was a member at Mullins Station Baptist Church for many years.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Gaston and Nadie Jeanes and her nephew, Justin Deskins. She is survived by her son, Jeremy Evans and wife Lauren, her sister Sherry Deskins and husband Zeke, her niece Tish McCaney and husband Jay and 1 grandchild, John Will Evans. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
The family will receive friends beginning at 9 am until service time at 10 am on Wednesday June 7th, 2023 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. Bartlett, TN 38133. Interment will follow at 12:30 pm in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church cemetery, 61 CR 247 Tiplersville, MS.
The family ask that any memorial donations be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
