Charles David Echols Sr., 65, of Memphis, a loving Christian, Husband, Father and Grandfather, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.B. and his wife Permilla Echols and Mildred Horton Echols. David is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Sharon Echols, his children, Charles David Echols Jr. “Little David” and his wife Connie, Ricky W. Echols and his wife Kim, grandchildren, Dustin Echols, Casey Echols, Riley Echols, Kaitlin Echols, Dillon Echols, Kathryn Echols, Makenzie Echols, and Kamille Echols, siblings, Robert Echols (Beverly) and Milda Pierce (Dub), and siblings-in-law, Leslie Sharp (Helen), Larry Sharp (Linda), Billy Sharp (Janie), Elizabeth King (Jerry), Gary Sharp (Mary), and Roy Sharp (Jan). Mr. Echols was a Member and Deacon at Cordova church of Christ. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 23 from 5-8pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. and a funeral on Thursday at 2pm also at the funeral home.Donations may be made in memory of Charles David Echols Sr. to The Wings Foundation.
