Ralph William “Bill” Johnson, 61, of Memphis, TN, passed away on June 22, 2022. Bill was born Feb. 1, 1961 to Joyce Harrington in Memphis. He graduated from Memphis Catholic High School and went on to attend the University of Memphis. Bill was a Memphis City Fireman for 31 years. He had his own business and, after retirement from the fire department, worked in healthcare. In 1977 Bill met Lisa Johnson at Leawood Baptist Church, and when he first laid eyes on Lisa said “That’s the girl I’m going to marry someday.” He did in 1986, and Bill and Lisa went on to have two children, Bly and Hayden Johnson. Bill was known for his quick humor and enjoyed spending time with his family, working on mustangs and his aquarium, and attending rock concerts. He was a scoutmaster and coached sports. Bill is survived by his wife Lisa, his sons Bly and Hayden, his mother Joyce, his sister Susan Bisner, his aunt Louise Simpson, and many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 27, 2022 from 5 pm - 7 pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Road, Bartlett, TN 38133. A funeral service with burial to follow will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 10 am at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
