Beverly Ann Barnhill, 69 of Potts Camp, MS. was born on February 12, 1950 in Harrisburg Arkansas. She passed away on September 18, 2019 at Baptist East hospital in Memphis, TN surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and family that prayed her into the arms of Jesus while worshipping His great compassion and mercy. She was the widow of Roger David Barnhill. They shared 33 years in marriage prior to Roger’s passing.
She was the daughter of James John Birdie Holt and Johnie Chrestene Holt. Beverly graduated from South Side High School on May 21, 1968. She went on to further her education and received an Associates Degree from Draughmons Business College, March 30, 1971. Her love for dogs led her to South Texas Institute of Pet Grooming, where she received her Certification December 14, 1990. She went on to further her skills and received a Certificate of Achievement, US Pets Pro Classic Advanced Continuing Education Seminar, May 19, 1991. Later in life, Beverly spent her years as a homemaker.
Beverly attended East Side Baptist Church in Memphis. She enjoyed her time as a homemaker where she cared for her husband, Roger, their puppies, birds and enjoyed gardening. Beverly enjoyed her past-time making new friends and enjoying outings with the local chapter of the Red Hat Society. She loved sewing, thrift shopping and being mischievous with her sisters. Beverly takes every opportunity to share her love of her grandchildren with anyone that will give her a listening ear.
Beverly is survived by her daughter, Kandi Cox and husband Chris Cox of Benton, AR, Danny Barnhill and wife Janet Barnhill of Johnson City TN. Her grandchildren, Brittany Clark of Nesbit, MS., Madison Cox, Mallory Cox, Aiden Cox, Anne Marie Cox, Brandon Cox, and Cory Cox of Benton, AR., Victoria Barnhill and Emma Barnhill of Johnson City, TN and her great grandchildren, Olan Clark and Dakota Clark of Nesbit, MS., her sisters Joyce McQueen, Carol Luckett, Bonnie Morganti, and Christopher Holt. She was predeceased in death by her husband Roger Barnhill, her parents; James John Birdie Holt and Johnie Chrestene Holt, as well as her brother James “Buddy” Holt.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in Bartlett, TN.
