Martha was born on February 5, 1941 in McKeesport, PA to Francis and Michael Dakos.
She spent her early years growing up in McKeesport and West Mifflin, PA with her two sisters and three brothers.
After graduating from Duquesne High School, Martha married Eugene Banky on October 3, 1959. Being married to a U.S. Marine, she traveled and lived throughout the United States and overseas with her family until settling down in Barstow, CA in 1980.
Martha was an avid reader and kept up with current events by reading newspapers and magazines and watching the news on the television. She enjoyed working on crafts, ceramics, crocheting, and sewing and made many beautiful items that she gifted to others. She loved to travel and enjoyed many travel experiences with her family, most notably Hawaii, Okinawa, Taiwan, South Korea, Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, Mexico, and the Caribbean. She loved visiting new places, eating good food, shopping, playing bingo, watching her soap operas on the television, and the company of family.
Martha was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend who will be remembered for her endless kindness, loving heart, and thoughtful manner. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
Martha is survived by her husband, Eugene Banky of Barstow, CA; two daughters, Angela and her husband Sidney Fielden of Indianapolis, IN, and Regina and her husband Brodric Priest of Barstow, CA; her grandson, Michael Wise of Barstow, CA; her two sisters, Joanne Miller of Danielson, CT, and Linda Dakos of Groton, CT; and her brother, John Badali of Rockledge, FL.
Martha was predeceased by her parents and two brothers, Michael Dakos Jr and David Dakos.
