It was with great sadness, that I became aware of Lloyd’s passing.
He and I served together in Europe .
He was a gentleman and I regard him as one of my dear friends.

Dear Alice and Logan, So sorry to hear of Lloyds(Butch)passing. He will be remembered as a great fishing partner with wonderful stories of growing up in Barrhead and in the Forces. He will be missed.

We are praying God will give you and your family the strength and comfort you will need in your times of sorrow.  You will have many hard days ahead but it truly helps to talk about Lloyd!  Sometimes you may cry sometimes laugh and sometimes both but that is part of the grieving process.  We will try to be there for you when ever you need us.

I am very sad to hear of the passing of my former school mate and golfing buddy, "Butch".
After high school, Lloyd joined the forces and I did not see him until years later when Lloyd married my first cousin, Lorna Weisgerber, who predeceased him. He will be sadly missed.

Lloyd and I were course mates on Investigator Course 7002 at Borden from September to December 1970.  I recall Lloyd being a great colleague and an excellent team player.  He was also an avid fan of the CFL and course members will never forget his passion for everything Alberta.  I am very sorry to hear of his passing and wish to offer my most sincere condolences to his family and friends.

I too have many fond memories of Lloyd from the old 4 MP (Pro) Pl days in the 60's.  We were jeep partners and shared many experiences together which included the odd tall tale of past experiences. He will be sadly missed.  Rest in Peace old friend.  Cliff beler

Please accept my deepest condolences. Lloyd was an unforgettable member of 4 MP Pl in Germany  and it was a pleasure to be a member of his section.  Later in 1987, I had the opportunity to,  again, serve with him during RV 87 in Wainwright, Alberta.  What a great guy!

Dear Alice and Family, 
No one may know this, but I owe my life to Lloyd! In about 1965 he and I along with another fellow Provost went duck hunting. We were using Lloyd's aunties old rotten boat and were some distance from the shore. The other fellow stood up and put his foot through the bottom & we were sinking.  Lloyd being ex-Navy took off his jacket, covered the hole & sat on it. We made it to shore where the boat went down  in about four feet of freezing water. This was on October.  Being a non swimmer ,I'm positive he saved my life. Lloyd!  and I worked together in Edmonton Detachment and I have never forgotten this hero of mine!  My most sincere condolences to you and your family.  God Bless .

Please accept our deepest condolences for your loss.  I have many memorable memories of the times spent with Lloyd both during our days in 4 MP PL, Germany and on a umber of courses we attended together at the C Pro C School.  A great guy, who will not be soon forgoten.

Hello Mrs B... we only met a few times in Fort Henrey in 1968... Lloyd was my section Cpl.. Well he was smart and he was big. Therefore a yound lad from Nova Scotia did not argurne.. On behalf of the Canadian Provost Corps Virtual Association, I send along our sincere sympathies in the passing of our former member, WO Llyod Billings.  I served with Lloyd in Germany in the sixties and have the fondest of memories of him as a Provost colleague. "We Will Remember Him"!

So sorry to see one's friend leave so soon. Had many good time with Lloyd  in Germany and in Canada. My heart goes out to the family.

We will always remember our time with Smokey all the way back to 1962 when he joined the Provost Corps after leaving the Navy and we were posted to Gagetown to start our service in the CPro C.  An all around good buddy and friend. Lloyd will be missed.
