After many years of declining health and pain, Marilyn (Mary) left her worn-out body at the age of ninety to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She is now reunited with her parents and brother, Jim. Marilyn was the second child, and only daughter, of James Byron Kenyon and his wife, Therese. Also, she was the only granddaughter of Dr. Melbourne and Carrie Kenyon of Omaha, Nebraska. Marilyn was a gentle spirit. She loved animals and all of God’s creation. It pained her to see anything suffer. Marilyn became a licensed practical nurse and spent her working years helping to relieve the physical needs of others. She worked in the Barrhead hospital for a while. She spent most of her working years in the Leduc hospital. Now she is safe at home in the arms of Jesus.
Marilyn is survived by her three brothers and their spouses: Ashley (Mary) Kenyon of Barrhead, Bill (Elva) Kenyon of Lethbridge, David (Barbara) Kenyon of Barrhead and one sister-in-law, Evelyn Kenyon of Fort Saskatchewan. She is also survived by several nephews and nieces, great nephews and nieces, and one great great niece.
Marilyn’s body was interred in the Barrhead cemetery with just her family present. She is now awaiting the sure resurrection when we shall all be together again.
