On February 1, 2024, Marguerite Moore of Pickardville, passed away suddenly at the age of 48 years old, in Minnesota. Maggie and Mike had been doing what they loved hauling RVs from the states to Canada making the last 6 months the happiest she had been in years.
Marguerite was born on July 7, 1975, in Westlock to Edmond and Sheila (Beveridge) Riopel. She graduated from St. Mary’s School in Westlock and worked and lived in the area all her life. Marguerite was proud to obtain her class one licence with Cameron Driving School in 2000. She had several jobs: waitress, cook, caterer, driver trainer, and school bus driver for many years with Pembina Hills.
Marguerite loved to laugh and smile and gained many lifelong friends. She loved to garden and bake, collect rocks, quad and play in the mud. Her kindness was felt by so many over the years. Maggie was always up for an adventure and looking for a rule to break. She loved ACDC, drumming and was a beautiful singer. She travelled many places over the years, including Australia, Hawaii, Jamaica, Cuba, Mexico and all over Canada and the United States.
She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Michael Moore, stepdaughters Kyia Moore and Shanda Moore. Her beloved grandchildren, Akeelah, Amelia, and Asher. She will be greatly missed by her sisters, Bernice Riopel and Nicole (Tim) Boarer and nephews, Michael and Matthew Kraft, Chance, Jordan and Cole Boarer and great nephew Kai. She was predeceased by her parents, Edmond and Sheila Riopel, her maternal grandparents, Mary and Robert Beveridge and paternal grandparents, Agnes and Gerard Riopel. She was loved by a huge family and so many friends she met along her life journey.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 2 at 1:00pm at the Westlock Community Hall with a interment to follow at the Pickardville Community Cemetery. Please rejoin us after the interment for a light luncheon. Donations accepted towards funeral expenses in care of Nicole Boarer or a charity of one’s choice.
