On 1 January 1989, the Reddy family of four emigrated to Canada and settled in the Barrhead area, making this their home ever since.
Krean graduated from Barrhead Composite High School and chose to remain in his hometown where he embarked on a multi-facetted career which included fibre glass work, restoring vintage vehicles, welding, and even butchering. He later took on contract work in the gas and oil industry as part of the safety team of inspectors.
It was while he was at work on 21 March 2024 in Fort McMurray, that he suffered a massive heart attack that claimed his life. He was just 40 years and 6 months old.
Krean travelled extensively with his parents and with friends – across Canada, the United States and three times to South Africa including his last trip in 2011 to witness the wedding of his sister to the man of her dreams, Rob Bennett.
Krean loved his family – especially his grandmother Manormoney. He took her on a Caribbean cruise where the two of them grew even closer.
Krean endeared himself to everyone he met – a quiet, unassuming, gentle young man, courteous and kind. His special way of laughing made all of us fall in love with this gentle soul.
As his friends and family can attest, Krean’s kindness touched many. He opened his house to friends far and wide. His generosity was as huge as his smile and his warm and generous heart. Nobody in need was ever turned away.
He leaves to mourn his parents Devraj and Bupsie Reddy, his only sibling Vani, her husband Rob Bennett and their two children, Quintin and Kaliyah, and a host of relatives and friends.
Krean also leaves a legacy with everyone who knew him – his desire to live life to the full which included lending a helping hand to the least among us.
