Ella was born in Kerobert, Saskatchewan. She spent her younger years there until she moved with her family to the Bloomsbury area, growing up on the farm and attending school there. Ella spent some time with her sister Gertie travelling and working in the Detroit area, later working in Barrhead at the Red and White store. Ella married Leo Radke on January 28, 1949, being the second couple to have their reception at the brand-new Dallas Hotel and shortly after moving to Jasper, working in the grocery store business. They returned to the Mellowdale area in 1952, where they lived, farmed and raised two children before moving to Barrhead in 1980. Ella enjoyed growing a large garden and loved berry picking around home, she truly enjoyed excursions out to the bush, she made pies, jam and perogies from these berries which we all very much enjoyed.
Ella will be missed and lovingly remembered by her 2 children: Brenda (Barry) Enders, Bryan (Geraldine) Radke, 2 grandchildren: Nicole (Darryl) Berntsen, Heather (Greg) Baker, 2 step-grandchildren: Danielle (Jake) Kitts, Kassidy (Kaleigh) Hiemstra, 11 great grandchildren, Emily, Adelynn, Bennett, Luka, Lyla, Norah, Cormac, Kruze, Kamryn, Reese, Sawyer, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
