Edward Fred Frier

Edward will be missed by his devoted and loving wife, Louise; three children Ken, Lynn and Bruce (Pearl); and four grandchildren Jonathan, Lucas, Julia and Bradley.

Edward and his sister, Elsie, the children of German immigrants, grew up on the family farm in Tiger Lily, Alberta. They attended a one-room school house in their small community.

Edward graduated from Barrhead High School and went on to enlist in the Royal Canadian Navy. Following his discharge, he became a chartered accountant and worked for a number of companies in Edmonton.

Edward operated a moving company and then drove truck for several years. Amazingly, he worked in the Alberta oil patch as a roughneck for 15 years until age 60. He continued his working career as a delivery driver for Canada Post until his retirement at age 80.

Edward was a natural and accomplished musician and played regularly around the Edmonton area for many years.

Memorial Service will be held on Monday July 29, 2024 at 1:00 PM from Rose Garden Chapel, Barrhead, AB.
