Elmer Russell Smith

Sunday, October 23, 2016 in the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was the husband of Easter Sizemore Smith and the son of Tommy and Sophia Smith born to them on September 28, 1949 in Bell Co., KY. He is preceded in death by his parents, Tommy & Sophia Smith, one son, Elmer Allen Sizemore two brothers, Earl & Ray Smith and two sisters, Lillie & Flossie Smith, his brothers and sisters in law, Joyce Ann, Wanda, Jimmy & Billy Sizemore.

Survivors include his wife Easter Smith of Alex’s Creek, one daughter, Crystal Lynn Sizemore of Barbourville, three grandchildren, Christopher Bennett, Evan Allen Sizemore and Jada Lynn Sizemore, his brothers and sisters in law, Stella Marie Keene and husband Jim, Carolyn Gray, Shirley Stewart all of Flat Lick, Denise Bays and husband Charlie of Trosper, Mary Alice Sizemore, Otis Sizemore and Loretta Sizemore all of Flat Lick. He also leaves behind a host of many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services for Mr. Smith will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home chapel on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be, Eugene Collett, Evan Sizemore, Archie Knuckles, Christopher Bennett, Christopher Stoots and Charlie Bennett, He will be laid to rest in the Sizemore-Smith Cemetery on Alex’s Creek. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
