Teddy Delano Myers

On October 8, 2024, Ted Myers, 88, of Bakersfield , California, passed away due to natural causes with his family by his side.

Ted was born June 7, 1936, in Fresno, CA. Ted grew up in Avenal, CA and attended Avenal High School. Ted was a veteran as he was drafted into the Army and was an Operating Engineer until his retirement.

Ted and Pat, his beloved wife of 68 years, were high school sweethearts at Avenal High School. Ted and Pat married on September 8, 1956. In 1967, Ted, Pat and daughter Lori moved to Bakersfield, California.

While Ted traveled to many destinations with Pat, he most enjoyed time with family and friends at his mountain cabin. Ted had a passion for the outdoors, especially hunting, and also enjoyed outdoor exercise. Ted cherished his family and old friends that he knew as a child. Up until his passing, Ted kept in contact with most of his old friends. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. Ted was a truly decent and respectable human being.

Ted is survived by wife Pat Myers, daughter Lori Rohrbach, son in law Scott Rohrbach, brother Neil (Betty) Myers, brother Rick (Aymara) Myers, nephews and nieces.

Ted was predeceased by his parents and his sister Virginia Holman.

Graveside services will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Garden of Peace, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield California, 93306 on October 30, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to the American Heart Association if you wish.
