Patricia “Trish” Ann Hodge-Sutton was born April 10,1953, a daughter of the late Charles B. and Mary Lou Hodge. She attended Potomac Elementary (Bessie Owens), Lincoln Junior High School where she was a majorette and Bakersfield High School. She was a Day Care Provider, Brocks Department Store, Kern County Fair Concert Attendant and EDD Employment of Kern County.
Trish was a PK (Preachers Kid), and at five years old she began singing ministering in songs for more than 60 years. Music was her passion and everyone had a favorite they wanted her to sing, “God Is”.
Trish at a young age became a member of Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church for many years singing and directing the choir. She is now currently a member of Greater Harvest Christian Center.
On November 14, 2003, she married Kenneth “Kenni G” she called him, her best friend that she's known for over 62 years and 16 years of marriage.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Rev. Charles B. and Mary Lou Hodge; sister , Charlesetta Hodge, brother, Lynn and sister Mary Ellen Hodge.
Trish leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband of 16 years, Kenneth Sutton, three sisters, Connie and husband Norbert Reddick of Richmond, California, Helen Hodge-Mayfield and Albert King, Jeanie and husband Andrew Hill, and special God-sister Gloria Helen and husband Clark Mitchell all of Bakersfield, California. Four children, daughter Terri Kinder of Bakersfield, California, daughter Sherri Baldwin-Greene of Elk Grove, California, daughter Tameka and husband Freddie Miles of Bakersfield, California, and son Bennie Leon Trice of Las Vegas, Nevada. and a host of great grands and grandchildren, great nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
