Monico was born in Las Cruces, NM on August 18, 1953 and passed peacefully on May 10, 2017 surrounded by his loved ones. Mickey moved here from Las Cruces about 47 years ago. Married to wife Romana for 45 years.
Our dad proudly served in the US Army for 10 years. Retired from truck driving due to illness.
Mickey was a generous man who opened his home and heart to so many. Dad loved to dance and sing, swim, camp and play poker. He will be remembered by his love of New Mexico chile.
He is survived by his 5 children Monica Carbajal, Vicky (Joel) Amaya, Marcos (Melinda) Carbajal, Isela (Josh) Childress, Benjamin Carbajal; 11 grandchildren, Alani, Jolie, Noah, Izzy, Booj, Caleb, Mosey, Marky, Marky Daniel, Mariya and Myra as well as several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Monico was preceded in death by parents Monico and Julia Caravajal; brothers Monico Jr, Richard, Yoyo, Marty and sisters Pilo and Cuca, and nephew Mando.
