Born in Guadalajara, Mexico to Maria Soledad Fajardo and Jose Everardo Ayala on May 12, 1978. He was primarily raised in Tijuana, Mexico and the Los Angeles area. He settled in Bakersfield to be able to help raise his older children and attend college. He graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University, with a master’s degree in education.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 20 years, Michelle; children: Soledad (Alexander), Alexis (Jessica), Oscar, Olivia (Jesus), Juan Pablo II, and Angel Michael; grandchildren: Emilio Isaiah Garcia and Alejandra Amor Valdez; sister: Ana (Enrique) Reyes; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He will also be dearly missed by students and friends at the Our Lady of Guadalupe School community and Our Lady of Guadalupe parish community.
Juan Pablo or Mr. Ayala, as most knew him, was a teacher at Our Lady of Guadalupe School for 13 years, where he taught science and social studies. He was an alter server advisor for the students for many years. Juan Pablo was an Oblate of St. Joseph Lay Associate and part of several ministries in the parish including, eucharistic minister, marriage preparation, CCD, and an avid radio/podcast host and guest. Juan Pablo’s love for his faith and parish community helped him become passionate about sharing his love for God and his vocation of marriage.
Juan Pablo was predeceased by his son, Angel Elijah; his brother, Jose Ulises Ayala and his parents: Maria Soledad Fajardo and Jose Everardo Ayala.
A visitation for Juan Pablo will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe Copatroness of the Unborn, 4600 E Brundage Ln, Bakersfield, CA 93307 with the Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM. The following morning, a funeral service will be held in his honor from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM also at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe Copatroness of the Unborn. Following the funeral service, graveside services will take place at 11:30 AM at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA 93306.
Serving as pallbearers are Alexis Ayala, Juan Pablo Ayala II, Oscar Gomez, Alexander Valdez, Gabriel Garcia, Manuel Flores, Alfonso Guillen Flores, Enrique Reyes and Jose Ulysses Ayala.
