Darin Scott Lawrence

September 12, 1974- August 2, 2019

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Darin Scott Lawrence. Darin was born September 12, 1974 in Bakersfield, California and passed away at home on Friday August 2, 2019 at age 44.

Darin graduated High School in 1992. From there he went on to work in the oilfields where he was a crew leader for many years. He was the middle child and loved to spend time with his family and friends. Darin was always a free spirit and enjoyed life. He had a passion for working on cars and dirt bikes and owned many of his own throughout his life. He was always happy when he was able to go out riding. Darin had a fierce love for his two children, Chris and Nicole. He was also recently married to Ginger Lawrence, in August of 2017.

Darin was preceded in death by his father James “Jimmy” Lawrence and mother Ellen Gill. He was survived by his wife -Ginger Lawrence; Daughter & Son-in-law Nicole & Josh Spears; Son- Christopher Lawrence; Grandchildren-Caydence, Caylynn, Joshua Jr. & Jakob Spears; Brother- Michael Lawrence & Sister in law Gina Lawrence, Sisters- Kimberly Gill and Andrea Avery; Step-Father-Gregory Gill and Step-Mother Karen Lawrence; as well as many Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him very much.

Darin’s memorial service will be held August 21, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Hillcrest Mortuary. Flowers & cards may be sent to the funeral home located at 9101 Kern Canyon Road, 93306 and addressed to “The Family of Darin Lawrence”. Thank you.
