I worked with Alvin at Adventist Health Hospital for many years.  He was always a mentor, teacher, and advisor, and an ever-present voice of calm.  I will miss him greatly...

I worked with Alvin at the hospital for years. He was always kind and great to work with.  We often shared stories about our daughters because they're the same age and both are pursuing medical careers. After he left the hospital I would talk to him at my doctors office, still very kind. He will surely be missed. I pray that his family finds strength in the Lord and hold tight to the memories that you shared.

My Uncle/Tito Alvin would always make everybody feel special, no matter who they were. He had the biggest heart and would always light up the room and be caring and including of everyone. Although I didn’t know him as well, he always showed he cared, and he was a great Tito. One of my favorite memories was Christmas. When I was 5, my Mom and our family decided to spend it with him, and I remember the excitement I had when I saw a giant princess castle, just for me. I felt so special in that moment. He always showed he cared and loved us so dearly. He’d make jokes, light up the room, and showed love and care for everyone. Most importantly, he loved my Mom, Inay, his siblings, and his family a lot. Love you always, Tito. 🕊️🤍

Ninong Alvin, I was deeply saddened by your passing. I pray that you are at peace now, embraced by God’s love and grace. You’ll be missed by so many whose lives you touched, including mine. You gave me my very first world almanac, sparking a lifelong desire to learn. Thank you for that gift.

I haven't seen Tito Alvin in quite some time but I remember him being so kind to everyone and a very funny person. I wish i got to see you one more time. I am very grateful to have spent time and gotten to know Tito Alvin. I always talked to him when my mom and her siblings would call Inay for her birthday. He was so funny and always put a smile on my face. I was invited to spend Christmas at his house, and it had to be my favourite Christmas. After spending time with Tito Alvin in person, I learned that he was not only funny, but so kind and caring. He was so welcoming, always making sure I was having fun and comforting me when I was upset. 

Tito Alvin and his family are all such amazing and loving people, I am so appreciative to have made unforgettable memories with them that I will cherish forever. Rest in peace Tito, you will be missed so dearly but never forgotten.

I remember when I was really small, one of my first memories was playing Mario with my Tito Alvin, on some weird bootleg console. It’s one of the few memories I have of my time in Philippines but it never went away. 
Since then I’ve loved playing games, no matter what kind and I feel as if a lot of that stems from how much fun I remember having with him. 

After we moved away, we didn’t get a chance to meet that often before he passed but I remember him welcoming me, my sister and my mom into his home and I remember how warm his family felt. 
They treated me as one of their own and I’m grateful to experience that sort of bond with my cousins as growing up we didn’t have that. 
Thank you for helping shape your family into loving, kind people and thank you for shaping part of my life I hold dear.

 Though you may be gone your legacy and the love you created will continue. This isn’t a goodbye but a see you in the other side, rest in peace Tito.

Condolences to my cousins and their family. I was heartbroken when I heard the news of Tito Alvin. I only met him when I was very young but I remember him being very welcoming, funny, and kind to not only me and my family but everyone he spoke to. I regret not being able to see him again but I am sure his legacy will live on with his beautiful family. Tito Alvin will be remembered as a great man and my thoughts and prayers are with his family. Alvin & I grew up together , we spend so much memories together , play together, eat together, went to the same school in Elementary and High School . He is smarter than me that’s why he became a Doctor and I became a Nurse. When he does silly things we all get in trouble @ the same time.
Alvin now that you are gone you’re no longer have to share the bond we had together. A bond of love and care. Yet somehow something tells me you are here watching over us. You are finally free from pain and suffering. And my tears I can’t hide  within my heart yet I feel you are just here @ our side. 
Life will never be the same , yet it comfort me to know that one day we will meet again . I hold you tightly within my heart .

I’m Dennis ( Alvin’s Brother in law) . I’ve known Alvin since childhood coz we are neighbours in the Philippines. We play basketball during our younger years. He was also our Best Man @ our Wedding. 
As years go by we get older and even though he is the youngest in the family  he has been the backbone of the family. He has a unique personality being straight forward with mature thinking.

I have known Doc Alvin's family for a long time, because his sister and I have been close ever since college. They were more than friends to me. I considered them as family. The two of them are kind, intelligent and extremely humble people. You can tell they were raised well as siblings. When the news arrived of Doc Alvin’s passing, I felt a wave of shock and sorrow wash over me. He was in the prime of his life, and as someone who lost their father not long ago, and knows what it is like to lose a brother, that same grief struck me once more. We can never know why the Lord takes away our loved ones. Only he knows the reason, and likewise, only he knows when it’s our time. But if there is one thing I know for certain, there is a place for him with our Lord in heaven, because he was a good son. He was a good brother. He was a loving husband and a father. And he helped a lot of people while he was still alive.
Doc Alvin you are gone, but never forgotten. You will always be in my thoughts and prayers.

You are my bunso. I didn’t expect you to pass so early, you are a very kind son. Mabait ng anak, at mahal na mahal kita. Nawala ka na sa aking piling, mahal na mahal ka namin, until now, hindi pa din ako makapaniwala that you are gone. I will continue to pray for you. Lot of childhood memories, playing around the neighborhood, trips to different places with Tatay, showering in the rain, biking during summer, and a lot of wonderful memories. Life took us in different destinations, but one thing that never changed is our love for each other. We grew up full of love, and I hope you felt the love we have for you, until your last breath. To the family of my beloved high school classmate, my deepest condolences....Alvin was my highschool classmate at PBMIT. I found him very humble, kind and loving individual. He was one of the smartest too in our batch! And he also became a successful doctor which we're all proud of!

I still remember the last time I saw Tito Alvin. I had just finished my first deep-sea fishing trip and stopped by the house to drop off some fish. He was in bed, but he made the effort to get up and give me a hug when I came in to say hello. I didn’t know that would be the last time I’d see him. I will miss him.

Though I only had the privilege of knowing him for six years, in that short time, I came to see what a kind and intelligent person he was. I always invited myself to things, so it made me especially happy when Tito Alvin would suggest inviting me. He always made me feel welcome and treated me like family.

Condolences tita Melvin and my cousins Ysa, BJ and MJ. Truly tito Alvin will be missed, I have fond memories of him during my childhood especially during  a time I was chased by the family doberman at lola celia's house, I had to climb the white entrance  gate and he was there to laugh about it while also comforting me. I'd always remember the family gatherings when we used to do the parlor games and have him dressed as Santa Claus. He used to give us sparklers and watch the fireworks during the new year's and let us go into the swimming pool during the summer. He is a calm and cool uncle around growing up and I am grateful for those fond memories.  I hope you find comfort with this message as we remember tito Alvin.

When you are with a person like my husband for 31 years, there are too many good memories to count. One that comes to mind as of recently was our 24th wedding anniversary in Boracay. If you knew him, you knew how much he loved being adventurous. He loved being outdoors, constantly trying new things, planning for trips, and living life to the fullest. In this trip, we got to go scuba diving, ATV riding, ziplining, and swimming at the beach. But for me, the best part of this trip was just spending quality time together. We had no worries, we didn’t think about him being sick, we just enjoyed our time with each other. It had been so long since we took a vacation with just the two of us. Each day with him for the past 31 years has been a blessing. I am grateful to have had him for this long, and thankful that he left me more than enough beautiful memories which will last me for the rest of my life. I will continue to love and miss you until I see you again.

Every night before my Birthday, I’d have a hard time sleeping. I’d feel restless and antsy like a kid the night before Christmas morning. On almost every birthday, my Dad would come into my room and wake me up quietly, show me a small gift and tell me, “Happy birthday MJ!” Every time he did it, I would smile and give him a big hug. He was a great father, and never struggled to make his loved ones feel special. He never had a hard time letting us know that we were loved. I know that he knows we loved him the same way. No one could fill the shoes he left, but through him I feel like I’m ready for what’s ahead. Although he won’t be here to wish me a happy birthday anymore, I know that I will feel it. I hope that I can be like him some day, and I hope everyone can use him as an example of what it means to be a good person. I miss you and I love you Dad, we’ll see you again some day!

From the time of my birth to the time he left this Earth, my father gave his all to raise and bring enjoyable experiences to my family. He made it his mission to protect and bring smiles to our faces. There is a plethora of good memories which I hold dear in my heart thanks to him, like learning how to ride a bicycle, how to do my own laundry, drive my own car, and many more. Everything I know, he taught me, and I'm forever grateful for all of the knowledge and skills he gave me. He has always had our back, and even now, I know he is still watching over my family and I. I love you so much, dad. Thank you for everything you've given us dad, may you rest well knowing that you are forever in our hearts.

My dad gave me 25 years of beautiful memories and it’s impossible to pick a favorite. Each minute I got to be with him was a privilege. I would say some our happiest times was when we lived in Louisiana. We only lived in a small  apartment but it was the first place we had as our own. He came up with something to do with my brothers and I everyday after school. He would play with us in the front yard, he’d pick us up from school and take us to get wendy’s, he taught us how to ride a bike. He made sure to spend time with each of us one on one so that we felt special. For me, he would take me to the library once a week to pick out a Magic Treehouse book. I didn’t know it at the time, but I was so lucky to be his little girl. He would tell me how he’d always be there for me and I know that even now, he still is. Dad, you are so loved and so missed, but we remember the memories you left us everyday. Thank you for all of them. I love you.
