William G. Livingston

William George Livingston, 79, of Babylon, "Mr. Bill",entered into Eternal Life on Thursday, August 22, 2024. Beloved husband of Carolyn. Devoted father of Kevin Livingston, Alicia Lair, and Stephen Livingston. Dear step-father of Jessica Smith. Loving father-in-law of Hanh Livingston, Craig Lair, and Karen Livingston. Adored grandfather of CJ, Alexandra, Lila, Tanner, Holden, Wyatt, Keaton, Harper, Derek, and Brook Lyn. Cherished brother of Janet Livingston O'Neil, and the late Richard W. Livingston. Also survived by his lifelong friend, Susan Livingston. He was predeceased by devoted dog, Samantha. William loved golfing, reading, sports, and a good party. Bill was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He attained the rank of Captain and was awarded the Bronze Star, Purple Heart and many other prestigious commendations for his valor. He was a 45-year member of the Babylon Fire Department, as well as Babylon Soccer. He will be forever loved and deeply missed by each life that he touched. Family will receive friends at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 W. Main Street, Babylon, Monday, August 26, 2024, 6:00 PM-9:00 PM with a Firematic Service at 8:00 PM. Funeral service with Military Honors at 11 AM Tuesday, August 27, 2024, Babylon Fire House, 153 W. Main Street, Babylon, with a luncheon to follow at the firehouse.
