family beside him on Saturday April 6, 2024 after a long bout with cancer.
Bob was a devoted husband of Lena, a loving father of Robert and his wife Janine,
Jimmy and his wife Marie, Peter, Joanne and her husband Jason. He was a loving grandfather of
Bobby and his fiancé Jackie, Michael and his wife Marissa, Aimee, Chelsea and her husband
Christopher, James and his fiancé Christina, Joseph and his wife Camila, John, Julianna, and
“man’s best friend” Leo.
He was a grateful brother of the late Joseph Sinclair and his wife Jane, the late Thomas
Sinclair and his wife Peggy, Theresa Sinclair, Anthony Amoroso and his wife Luz.
Lastly, a loyal son to the late Catherine Sinclair.
Bob was born on May 4, 1941. He grew up in Manhattan on the westside. He worked at
United Press International for 10 years and then opened a well known bar and restaurant named
“Jug’s Pub” and “Casa Mia.” Later in life, he worked at Grumman Data Institute.
Bob was an honorable man, loving husband, devoted father, and exceptional grandfather.
He took great pride in all things family related. He had a wonderful gift of connecting with
people on a very deep level. He made everyone that he came in contact with feel special, like
they were the most important person in the room – because at that moment, they were to him. He
shared a beautiful love affair of 65 years with his adoring wife Lena.
A memorial visitation for Bob will be held at Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home 448 West
Main Street, Babylon on Tuesday April 9th from 2:00-4:30 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm and on
Wednesday 10:00 am.
The family request those who wish to express sympathy to consider flowers or a donation
to The Fresh Air Fund or to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, both being organizations
Bob felt strongly about.
