Marilyn R. Petersen

Marilyn R. Petersen (nee Talbot), 88, of North Babylon, entered into Eternal Life on Monday, December 16, 2024. Predeceased by her beloved husband, George Petersen, in 1999, after 39 years of marriage. Devoted mother of Lyn Cuevas (David), Daniel, Peggy Cohen (David), and Tom (Christine). Adored "Brooma" of Davey (Amy), Jonathan (Kerri), Hannah, Georgie, and Noah. Cherished great-grandmother of Julianna, Kristina, Dakota, Wynnie, and Abigail. Loving aunt to 36 and sister-in-law to 22. Predeceased by her parents, George and Gertrude (Patterson) Talbot, and her sister, June (Talbot) Woodham. During her career, Marilyn was a registered nurse and an avid, life-long learner. A holder of two Master's Degrees in Public Health Administration and Biology, she has always been an inspiration to her loving family. In her retirement years, Marilyn enjoyed bowling and collecting the collectibles that brought her delight. She will be forever loved and deeply missed by each life that she touched. Family will receive friends at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 W. Main Street, Babylon, Friday, December 20, 2024, 2:00 PM-4:30 PM & 7:00 PM-9:00 PM. Funeral service 10 AM Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
