Jack graduated from Fort Hamilton High School in Brooklyn, NY. Following graduation, he served in the U.S. Navy as a Parachute Rigger during the Vietnam campaign. Following his honorable discharge from the Navy, Jack married his neighborhood sweetheart, Anne Marie Esposito. Jack and Anne remained in Brooklyn for a few years before moving to North Babylon, NY. They celebrated 52 years of marriage last September.
Jack was an outstanding member of the New York City Police Department for a number of years. After retiring from the NYPD, Jack turned to numerous hobbies, including pen craftsmanship, beautiful stained glass creations, curating bonsai trees, and recreational golf. Jack was a loyal and dedicated member of AMVETS Post 88 located in Massapequa, NY, where he served as Commander of this veterans organization for three terms and was recognized as Post 88’s AMVET of the Year in 2000. Jack loved supporting his fellow veterans and he spent much of his free time volunteering at the Northport VA Hospital. When he wasn’t volunteering or working on his hobbies, Jack could be found in the kitchen, honing his skills as an amateur chef.
