Dorothy Anne Pirundini

Dorothy Anne Pirundini (nee Downing), 92, of Babylon Village, formerly of Park Slope, Brooklyn, entered into Eternal Life on May 31, 2022. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Anthony Paul, in 1988. Devoted mother of Paul (Lori) and Joan (Ken Reddy). Adored grandmother of Paul Jr., Matthew and Elizabeth. Predeceased by her loving sisters, Gertrude and Joan. Dear sister-in-law of Betty and the late Jack, Bill & Harriet, Ann & Bill, Joan, and Larry. Also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews. Dorothy was a retired educator at Our Lady of Perpetual Help School in Lindenhurst, where she taught the 5th grade. She was also an active parishioner at her parish of St. Joseph's RC Church in Babylon, and also devoted to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. She will be forever loved and missed by each life that she touched. The family will receive friends at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 W. Main Street, Babylon, Friday, June 3, 2022, 4pm-8pm. Funeral mass 9:30am Saturday, June 4, 2022 St. Joseph's RC Church, Babylon. Interment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dorothy's memory to Covenant House.
