He was my teacher for about 2 years wen I was very young very fair fun loving and caring toward his students but will put u in check if need be very sorry to finally find him this way wish we could of met me as a adult but we don't always get wat we want guess I gotta wait a lil longer 

Dear Carlton... thank you for being a real friend in Christ. Back in the day I balked a few Scripture’s you had for me but I use them now, my friend.  I regret we didn’t meet each other’s families. My son is a gym rat and I promised him you’d meet up. He’s dedicated to a healthy body and soul and a genuine good guy. You’d like him a lot. My sweet beautiful daughter is a blessing and wonderful kid too - she would think you’re cool. Man I wish they met you 😕
Until we meet again Carlton... I know you’ll be with Jesus and St. Michael with the Armor of God Fighting for us all to be Raptured one day. I just heard about your passing I am deeply saddened by  this my condolences to your family. I will always remember the bodybuilding days with you I still remember the days of when we was completing in 1994you got me to do my first show . I am glad you was the guy in the audience cheering for me. I remember me and you going to the  Sizzle  Restaurant an eating for hours until they would try to tell us to leave lol I will always remember you in my life my friend may you  Rip but if I remember you well you will be bodybuilding even in heaven miss you big guy Jerry bongiovi 

Carlton, I still remember the first day I met you in 1995 and was like look at the size of this guy. Only to find out that you were a gentle giant. From that day forward we became family. We spent almost every Thanksgiving together since we met and many more times together in between. I will never forget all our long talks after our huge meals and our shorter talks after seconds because we would fall asleep on the couch. I will miss all your advice on life, health and the kids. You were and always will be a part of my family and will always be remembered in my home by talking about all the memories we have with you. May you Rest In Peace now Brother and always know we love you. 

Today I woke up with a very heavy heart. In life we have those people that just mean so much to a family and become a huge part of our lives. To my dear cousin Carlton, it has been a total shock to all of us that your gone. I just cant believe it. Iam grateful I got to talk to you Friday, but I had no idea it would be our last conversation. I know where you are now, you are so very much at peace. Thank you for all my life I had to spend with you , thank you for always giving all the uplifting and encouraging words to not only myself, but to my husband, and most of all my kids. Hearing of my Brother in Christ Carlton
passing is hard for me to take in. We served together in the Prison ministry of Times Square Church and I am so glad and proud that I had the privilege of serving with him a true man of God who truly loved Jesus his Lord and savior and had the passion to serve others. I will miss him so much as I always called him a gentle giant. My sympathies to all of his friends and family.

He was a kind and caring man, I enjoyed working with him in Building 39 as a Paraprofessional for over 14 years.

It's been at least 10 years since we last saw Carlton, and now to hear of his passing is very hard to come to terms with.  Carlton, my brother Mike and I were the three amigos for awhile in our times in Forest Hills.  We met at Southampton College around 1980-81 and became instant best friends, he a freshman and my bother and I seniors. We had so many funny times together.  He will be truly missed by the Spoelstra family, my wife Ziomara and daughter Danielle.
May God rest you soul my brother.

Carlton, We met in 1980  at college. You were like a brother to me and Bob. You were also like a third son to my mom. We shared so many great times together. A few we're bad, but most were great. We learned a lot along the way. We had lost touch with each other in recent times, but You were always in my thoughts and prayers. You will greatly  be  missed by myself and my family. Love you my Brother.



Carlton will always be remembered and loved.  Even while he wrestled with his own struggles, he always found time to give an encouraging word and pray for someone. Carlton loved to share the gospel and he was always willing to learn more about the Lord's promises. He is definitely in the loving arms of our Lord. The angels are singing because another believer was brought home. 

I watched him grow in his faith and become more Christ-like in his walk. I will miss our talks about our faith. I will miss his laugh and genuine concern for others.  I will miss messing with the items on his desk...he always knew it was me who switched all the things around to get him to realize that it's okay for things to be out of place. He eventually gave up and just chuckled when he saw what I did in the morning. 

Carlton you were a good man who tried his best to make others happy...even if it meant forsaking your own desires. I will see you again one day in Glory and we will laugh about the years we worked together. 

You will be truly missed, but it's comforting to know that you are in the presence of the Lord...we will be reunited one day. 

I will continue to pray for all of your family. May the Lord comfort them now and always. May all the goodness you shared protect their hearts from sorrow.

He was a fine man.He was concerned about the inner city youth and inspired them thru his own example while stressing education as a means to a better life. Bodybuilding was his refuge and  he used the sport to  show youths a better alternative to drugs and alcohol. Carlton believed that hard work was its own reward and his discipline  and success in life and sport was proof of that.  His brutal honesty was a direct reflection of the care and concern he had for those who knew him best. I remember with laughter how he would grab me by one of my many rolls of fat and shake it while laughing while repeatedly saying ''Whats all this boss? Whats all this boss? I"m still in the gym lifting because of his example. Carlton had a certain  bella figura and definitely pulled it off with style. The world is just a little dimmer now and we are saddened by our loss. He was a fine man.
