Bill was born on January 11, 1950 to Theodore and Tilly Robinson in Pittsburgh, PA. Straight out of high school, Bill served in the United States Army as a medic in the Vietnam War. After his time in the service, Bill landed a job at Mellon Bank as a programmer, and then moved on to Dresser Industries Inc., for many years. While working at Dresser, Bill met Lisa Annibale and they wed in 1986. They started their life together in Texas. Their daughter, Kristen was born in 1989, and their son Kevin in 1992. Bill went on to work for Arco International and then Experian as a data center manager, and retired in 2009.
Married for 37 years, Bill and Lisa kept busy in their unofficial role as neighborhood parents, as their home was always the site of pool parties, sleepovers and holiday gatherings. Forever a safe space, Bill and Lisa filled their home with light and love as a testament to the importance of family and friends.
Bill was a passionate golfer (before he injured his back) and an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Recently, Bill enjoyed spending as much time as possible with his two grandsons, Hudson (3) and Hayes (1). He was such a loving father and truly enjoyed the simplicity of movie nights or Steelers games on the couch with his son, Kevin. He was very proud of his children, and they will go on and continue to make him proud.
Bill’s legacy lives on through his beloved family. He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa, his cherished children, Kristen and Kevin, his best friends/grandchildren, Hudson and Hayes, and his sisters, Sue and Ellen. Additionally, Bill leaves behind a circle of friends and extended family members who were touched by his warmth and kindness.
The family would like to thank the ICU care team at Baylor Scott & White hospital in Lakeway, TX for their kind and professional care of Bill in his final days.
A visitation for Bill will be held Sunday, October 29, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 5416 Parkcrest Drive, Austin, TX 78731, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
