William Thomas Gardner

Tom was born on the 29th of April 1946, in Cook County, Illinois, to Maryon (Dolan) and Glenn Gardner. In 1949, Tom and his family relocated to Dallas.

He graduated Jesuit College Preparatory class of 1964, in Dallas, TX. Then, he received his Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Tom was truly blessed by the love of his family and gifted with a great sense of humor that will be missed by all who knew him.

Tom was preceded in death by parents, Maryon and Glenn Gardner and brother-in-law, Charles E Merkle.

He is survived by sons, Glenn Duff Gardner, of Austin, Kelly Christopher Gardner, of Austin, and their spouses; grandchildren, Hank, Molly, Ashley and Alex; sisters and brother, Marileone Gardner Merkle, of Colleyville, Texas, Judith Gardner Carlson, of Seattle, Washington and Msgr. Glenn Duff Gardner, of Forney, Texas.

The visitation will be held on Sunday, the 27th of May 2012 at six o’clock in the evening, followed by a Rosary Service at seven o’clock at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 N. Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX, 78752.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, the 28th of May 2012 at ten o’clock in the morning, also at Cook-Walden Funeral Home.
