Bill was called to his heavenly father to be with his beloved wife on February 20, 2011. He was at home surrounded by his family and friends. He was a “Rock Star” for battling his cancer as quoted by his fantastic Dr. Punit Chada and staff of Texas Oncology.
Bill was born July 22, 1928 in San Antonio to Helen and William J. Felder. He is preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife; whom only left us three months to the date to Alzheimer’s; and his son, Thomas Felder.
He had joined the Air Force in 1950. He married Ann on April 21, 1951 in San Antonio. Shortly thereafter he deployed to Korea. He was then assigned to Kansas, Massachusetts, Japan and Arizona. He retired in September 1970 in San Antonio. They moved to Austin in 1973 where he worked at Texas Light Bulb Supply Company for his brother-in-law, George Cox and wife Dorothy.
After leaving there he was a monitor on a handicap bus for AISA. He retired in 2005 after 15 years to be at home to care for his wife, Ann who had Alzheimer’s.
He is survived by two children, Laurie Waldock of Austin, James Felder and wife Kathy of Denver, Colorado; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. His brothers, Frank and Elaine of New Braunfels; L.B. and Edna of Medina Lake area. Brother and sister-in-law, Herby and Beverly Yoehle of McKinney, Texas and many nieces and nephews.
We want to thank Kathy Kelsey for always being there for them both. Also to Brooks Felder, his grandson for caring for him, Aaron Waldock and Marilou Cabrera for helping as well.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue, Recitation of the Holy Rosary to follow at 7:00 pm. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church with Reverend Michael Couhig, C.S.C. officiating. Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 pm with full Military Honors at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas.
