Steve was a graduate of Lancaster High School and earned his BS and MS from East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas. He was a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity where he served as “social chairman,” and continued in that role for his entire life.
He was a teacher at South Oak Cliff High School where he met his future wife, Juanita. Steve worked the remainder of his career in the technical sales field, a career that he loved and excelled at. He was a born salesman!
Steve’s interest were many. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially boating. He loved his Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. He loved partying with friends and colleagues. He loved tequila and especially loved mariachis. He loved traveling to other countries. In short, Steve loved life.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Doris, Mullenix and his adventure seeking sister-in-law, Rose Madrigal, who personified Steve’s outlook on life, “the road goes on forever and the party never ends! “
Steve is survived by Juanita; his sister, Marion Ripley; his nephew, Chris (Heather) Crosby; his nieces, Rebecca (BJ) Humphreys and Katie (Nick) Forette; several cousins, fraternity brothers and countless friends.
