Stacy Davis, 59, of Austin, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2021 with loved ones by her side, leaving her friends and family shocked and heartbroken. Stacy was born on October 5, 1961, in Austin to Leo B. Davis and Barbara Meier Davis. She graduated in 1979 from Austin High School. She then went on to get her Bachelors degree in Radio-Television-Film from the University of Texas, graduating in 1983.
While still going to UT, Stacy went to work for what was then KTBC, eventually becoming FOX7. She was still employed there as Senior Director at the time of her death. She touched the lives of so many.

She approached every day with levity and she genuinely cared about everyone around her.” “Your warmth and laughter always took the edge off the anxiety before going live on the news. We were so grateful you were steering the ship”. “Stacy was one of the most genuine people on the planet. She will be missed dearly at the station and on this earth”.
Stacy is survived by her longtime partner Lee Bagley; her cousins, Peggy Davis, Terry Davis, Gary Davis, Craig Meier, Steve Meier, David Barron, Michael Barron, Linda Johnson, John Johnson; many extended family and a host of friends.
There will be a visitation on June 22 from 10:00-11:00 am at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 am. Stacy will then be laid to rest at Austin Memorial Park with her parents and grandparents.
