Sook Lim passed away on March 29, 2013 Good Friday.
Sook was born on December 30, 1939 in Kaesung, Kyung Ki Do, Korea to Poong Hwangand and Choon Hee Chung. She was the youngest of 6 children 3 boys and 3 girls, and is survived by 1 brother Chung M. Hwang and 1 sister Sook Jung Hwang.
Sook attended Soodo Middle School, Soodo High School, and Ehwa University. She married her husband Chang Lin Lim in 1965, they lived in Seoul Korea until she and her family moved to the United States in 1974. She became a U.S. citizen in 1982.
Sook Im was a founding member and church elder at the Austin Korean Presbyterian Church. Her life devotion was to her children and God. She loved both to her last breath. Sook’s active participation at her church was a daily reminder of her purpose in this life.
