Scott Joseph Mitchell passed away on March 2, 2021. He was born on August 5, 1976, in Austin, Texas. He was raised in the Oak Hill Community in Southwest Austin his entire life until his death. Scott is survived by his parents Ernest “Sonny” and Phyllis Mitchell of Austin; his two sons Chandler and Connor Mitchell of Austin; his sister Elizabeth Mitchell of Austin; his brother Stephen Mitchell of Cistern, Texas; and his two nieces Rhianna and Drisana Sofikitis of Austin; Chandler and Connor’s mother Margaret Barba of Austin; along with numerous relatives and friends.
A visitation will take place on March 7, 2021, from 5-8 p.m. at Cook Walden Forest Oaks Funeral Home at 6300 W. William Cannon Drive, Austin, Texas. His funeral service will be on Monday March 8th at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 300 E. Monroe, Austin, Texas. Following the service, burial will take place at Cook Walden Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
