Sarah graduated from Edison High School in San Antonio, Texas in 1951 where she met her husband to be, Jim, and married him in 1955. They were married for 54 years until his death.
She worked as a Business Manager at Environmental Improvements for over 20 years and was the owner of Tangent Engineering for over 10 years. Sarah and her late husband retired to the Austin, Texas area in 1994 to be close to their daughter.
She is preceded in death by her parents Tommy and Ruth, her brother Jared and sister Sharon, her husband Jim and her son Patrick.
She is survived by her daughter, Leah Cathey, son in law Curtis Cathey, grandson Derek Cathey and his wife Heather, granddaughter Hannah Rigsby and her husband Jonah, grandson Clayton Cathey and his fiancee Samantha Freeman. She is also survived by her 4 great grandchildren, Landon, Hattie, Lola and Rory.
The family would like to thank all of her family and friends for the love and support they showed Sarah over her lifetime. She loved and adored each of the people in her life.
A memorial service for Sarah will be held Friday, July 19, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Fellowship Church at Plum Creek, 160 Grace St, Kyle, TX 78640.
