Sandra Leigh Mock’s beautiful face and soul will be missed by many in the family, friends and acquaintance. Of course, she never met a stranger. Sandra was notorious for giving people a hard time and joking around with you.
Sandra’s story starts on July 23, 1964, the middle (2nd), child born to Mack W Mock and Nettie June Turner Mock. Sandra was born in Poughkeepsie, New York. When Sandra was still little, Mack and June moved their small family to Austin, Texas where Sandra would spend her childhood and adulthood. This is where she made several lifelong friends in our neighborhood. Sandra attended and graduated Leander High School.
Sandra preferred to be called Sandy. Sandy was renowned for her homemade baked lasagna, Italian sausage and mac and cheese (a favorite by everyone). She loved anime, movies, animals, reading, music, ocean, whales, dolphins, and electronics. Sandy sponsored several dolphins.
Sandy’s heart was and will always be very giving and kind. She enjoyed giving her time to the community. She engaged in providing holiday meals, wrapping gifts and preparing the food and gifts for delivery to families in need. She participated in Brown Santa, The Thanksgiving drive, and handing out school supplies.
Sandy and her family (including many aunts, uncles and cousins) spent many camping trips out by the waters of Texas. She loved site seeing and listening to the car radio.
Sandy’s true heart and joy was her nieces and nephew. When they started having their own children, she showed them the same love, snuggles, and patience.
Loved ones that cleared the path and gave strength to Sandra was her father Mack W Mock (waiting for her in heaven), mother Nettie June Tuner Mock. Mother and Sandy were partners in crime for 55 years. Loved ones that will miss her until they meet again are her sister’s Catherine Mock, Patricia (Patty) Mock Bleeker Brother in-law John (Jay) Bleeker. Her pride and joy - Nieces and Nephew Britni Bleeker Harmon, Michael Bleeker and Rachel Bleeker Marcoux. Great nephews and niece Nathan, Brady, Emsley, and Caleb. Uncles and aunts Faye Redden, Denver Mock, Maureen Mock and Elmer Mock She will also be missed by many (I MEAN MANY) cousins and great cousin which she loved deeply.
We all know she truly earned her wings as an Angel watching over us all.
