San Juanita "Janie" Gonzalez

San Juanita was born in Laredo, Texas, on February 17, 1962, to Maria Felix Lilia Dominguez.

San Juanita raised her children with love and devotion in Austin, Texas, with her husband Manual Gonzalez. She was mother to and is survived by Isel Gonzalez, San Juanita Gonzalez, Manuel Gonzalez Jr., and Liliana Gonzalez; grandchildren Esmeralda Samilpa Jude Hernandez, Brian Gonzalez, Justin Gonzalez, Jeremy Gonzalez, Nathan Gonzalez, Lucas Rey Gonzalez, Leyla Rose Gonzalez, Isabella Cantu, Isaac Cantu, and Deniro Allen III; great-grandson Romello Anthony Felan; and brother Pedro Luis Dominguez.

San Juanita was preceded in death by her mother Maria Felix Lilia Dominguez.

She loved music, dancing, and gardening, and was a great cook. She was a giving and kind soul and gave the best hugs. She is forever in our hearts and will be greatly missed.

A visitation for San Juanita will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, Texas 78749 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a rosary service to follow. The funeral mass will take place on Friday, June 2, 2023, at St. Peter Apostle Catholic Church, 4600 East Ben White Blvd, Austin, Texas 78741 at 10:00 AM with a graveside service to follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, Texas 78749.
