Rudy Yanez, 64, passed away peacefully at his home in Lockhart. He was born December 3, 1946 in Fentress, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luz and Antonio Yanez, a brother, Toby and a nephew, Richie Yanez.
Rudy is survived by brothers Richard of Lockhart, Ray (Mary) of Kyle, Roberto (Alicia) of Pflugerville and sisters Alice Duran(Jesse), of Lockhart, Minnie Rodriguez (Bernadino), Dolores Garcia, Bertha Riojas (Felix), Olga Clark (Albert), and Sally Venegas(Charles) all of Austin.
Rudy was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the 101st Airborne Division. He was proud to serve his country in the U. S. Army. He was a welder by trade, loved to write, and enjoyed gardening. His favorite past time was being with family and friends at any occasion. He will be remembered as the life of the party. We will miss you, SM!
Rosary will be held on Friday, January 28, 2011 at 7 p.m at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home, 2620 S. Congress Ave., Austin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial Services will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 205 West Pecan Street, Lockhart, Texas. Interment will follow at Santa Maria de Aida Cemetery, Maxwell, Texas.
