
We never knew him by any other name but Bob Edd.  You would find him going up and down the halls at Hyde Park in the 70's and 80's, always available to his congregation, and always with a smile on his face.  Everyone depended on Bob Edd and trusted his advice when they needed something.  He will always be remembered and revered by many people. Condolences to Lane and to his children.



Dear Lane and Family,  Please accept our deepest sympathy in the death of Bob Ed. He truly was one of God's greatest servants and we consider him and his entire family among our dear friends. I enjoyed working with him in Sunday School. Our entire family appreciated his leadership. His great legacy is, first, his work for the Lord, followed very closely by the character of each you in his family. We pray for each of you as you learn to go on and cherish the memories. We love you.



Lane amd Family,  We are sorry that we were unable to attend the Memorial Service.  Bob Edd was a unique individual and deeply committed to his God and Church.  Lane, you were always supportive of his numerous Ministries.  Bob Edd was always very helpful to us and we appreciated the hard work that he did at Hyde Park. All of his stories were very entertaining.  Michelle has fond memories of being around both of you when you were her S.S. teacher.  Bob Edd was truly a "good and faithful servant".  We will continue to pray for each of you.

Bob Ed possessed such a wonderful gift in his knowledge of the Bible and in has ability to teach. That combined with his caring, shepherd's heart made him a man who was admired by all. Lane, you and your family remain in our thoughts and prayers as God comforts you with his grace and peace.



I grew up on Maxfield Street in Bellmead where Bob Edd, Larry, and their parents lived.  We were all members of First Baptist Church of Bellmead.  My heart and prayers go out to you at this time.  God bless you.



I spent many happy hours in the youth group at Bellmead First Baptist where Bob Edd and Larry were also members.  We both attended La Vega High School and Baylor University, although I was a few years ahead of Bob Edd.  Many fond memories of those days.



We were blessed to know Bob Edd only a couple of years, but we came to respect his life achievements and admire his friendly personality.  We were in the Voices in Praise Choir together



Lane, Laurie, Carter and Robbie,  When we think of Bob Edd we remember his towering height and overwhelming presence. We also remember when a dear friend had lost her beloved daughter in an auto-train accident and she said that when Bob Edd appeared at her door it was as if God himself had arrived... Bob Edd has been such an inspiration to us during the 9 years we've lived in Georgetown. We will certainly miss him, but what rejoicing must be going on in Heaven right now!



Bob Edd was a special person. Made our La Vega reunion a fun time with his skits a few years ago. I ate a lot of hamburgers at his parent's cafe in Bellmead many years ago. He will be missed. My sympathy to his family.



I had the great blessing of attending LaVega Schools at the time Bob Edd was there. He was a true Christian example to all of us as a boy and as a young man.  God bless you in every way as you deal with your loss, even as God is rejoicing in Bob Edd's presence.



Bob Edd touched my life as God's earthly servant although we had just a brief acquaintance. He touched so many - God must be well pleased. Lane, my prayers are with you and your family during this time of sadness. I'll be with my daughter this weekend, but you'll not be far from my thoughts.    Alice
