Robert Perez, age 38, of Austin, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2009 surrounded by his many friends and family. Robert was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, where he graduated from Gregory Portland High School. After graduating high school in 1989, he moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas. Throughout Robert's time in Austin he was involved in many charitable organizations including Waterloo Counseling Center and The Octopus Club. Though he was a CPA, Robert was a true epicurean at heart who enjoyed cooking many gourmet meals for his friends and family. Robert is survived by his partner, Rob Giardinelli; mother, Antonia Perez; sisters, Rosa Reyes, Gloria Perez-Ramirez, Mary Ann Perez, Elizabeth Perez; brothers, Esteban Perez, Macario Perez, Jr., Bidal Perez; seventeen nieces and nephews; and countless friends who became a part of Robert's extended family. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at Metropolitan Community Church, 8601 S. 1st Street, Austin, Texas 78748.
