Rita Fugate

Rita Fugate passed away on January 12, 2015 in Austin, Texas, from complications of flu and pneumonia. She was a loving daughter, grand-daughter, mother, sister, cousin, and aunt. She is survived by her brother, Larry Borden and his wife Rita Borden of Phoenix, AZ, and her two sons, Steve Thompson of Hutto, TX, and Doug Fugate of Austin, TX. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Theodore Thompson, and second husband, Victor L Fugate, as well as two children David Thompson and Diane Thompson Cates.

She was born to Anna Markowitz Borden and Al Borden in 1931 in Brooklyn, NY.

Funeral services were on January 15, 2015, at the New Montefiore Cemetery in West Babylon, NY, near her parents, daughter, and cousins.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for 12PM - 2PM on February 1, 2015, at 3401 W. Parmer Lane, Apt 1728, Austin, TX 78727, with Rabbi Kerry Baker presiding. Feel free to bring an appetizer or food item of your choice.
