Paula Marie Jankowski

Paula met her beloved husband Tom Jankowski in college. They were married for 50 years until Tom passed away in 2013. Now they are reunited in Heaven.

Paula attended Austin High School in Houston where she was an officer in the Scottish Brigade drill team. She attended Baylor University before graduating from the University of Houston with a Master’s Degree in Education. Paula worked for HISD for 40 years as a teacher, counselor and finally a data administrator. Paula and Tom raised their daughters, Stacey and Liesl, in Sharpstown and then retired to Tiki Island in Galveston. She loved playing cards, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family. She kept in touch with many of her school, work and neighborhood friends throughout the years and loved them all dearly. After Tom died, she moved to Austin to be closer to her daughters and their families. She was living in a retirement community when she died of natural causes.

Paula is survived by her daughters, Stacey Yates and Liesl Criswell, Stacey’s children, Tyler and Kendall Yates and Liesl’s children, Sydney and Abby Criswell.

We will truly miss her love and kindness. She was a special person.

A Memorial Service will be held sometime in the future.
