Nirmal Kumar Ghai

Nirmal, was born on January 6, 1938, in New Delhi, India. He pursued his love for engineering at Punjab Engineering College and Manchester University, where his passion truly came to life. After returning to India, he met Neshu, and their love story blossomed from there. They began their life together, welcomed their first son Rakesh, and soon after they took a big leap moving to the United States, where they later welcomed their second son, Sanjeev. Nirmal and Neshu shared 56 beautiful years together as partners, best friends, and soulmates. He was selfless and kind, and his compassionate generosity was admired by all who knew him. Nirmal had a spark for life and loved music, travel, reading, and of course, his single-malt scotch. Above all, Nirmal was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, whose love for his family was the heart of everything he did.

He is survived by: Neshu Ghai, Rakesh (Jennifer) Ghai, Sanjeev (Candice) Ghai, Madilyn Ghai, Matthew Ghai, Mitchell Ghai, Naveen Ghai, Michael Ghai, Kurren Ghai.

A memorial service for Nirmal will be held Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 5416 Parkcrest Drive, Austin, TX 78731.
