Nicolasa Olivares passed away on January 26, 2021 in Austin, Texas at the age of 68. Nicolasa was dearly loved by five children; son Octavio and his wife Cynthia, son Adrian, son Agustin and his wife Yudira, and son Gilberto and his wife Graciela. Nicolasa is also survived by her two brothers Gumecindo Lopez, Salvador Olivares and her sisters Eufemia Martinez, Delia Olivares and grandchildren Yanareli, Gilberto, Jr., Yamilet, Yaneli, Lisa, Jesse, Alicia, Aquilla, Leticia, Mercedes, Heaven, Agustin, Jr., Tavar, and Chastina, nieces Gloria, Porfiria, Monica, Jennifer, Vanessa, and nephews Gorge, Carlos, Isaac, and sister-in-laws Rogelia and Josephina.
Nicolasa attended school in Mexico and later worked as a custodian for the City of Austin for Austin Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA). In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, shopping, playing loteria, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

A public visitation for Nicolasa will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX 78749. A rosary service will occur Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX 78749. A chapel service will occur Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX 78749. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S IH 35 Frontage Rd, Austin, TX 78704. A burial will occur at Upper Cedar Creek Cemetery, Cedar Creek, Texas.
