Mitchell Duran Garner

Mitchell was born on April 13, 1963 in Memphis, Tennessee to Darlene Pierson and Robert J. Garner Sr. Mitchell lived most of his life in Hobbs, NM and moved to the Austin area in 2002.

Despite Mitchell's setbacks in his physical health at an early age, he lived his life to the fullest. He was always making people smile and knew how to tell a joke! Mitchell had such an amazing heart. He always saw the good in people and made sure to compliment them sincerely. He loved his family dearly, had a passion for nature and loved all animals. He enjoyed listening to his music every day and working with wood. Mitchell had a brilliant mind, always learning and could hold an intelligent conversation on any given subject.

Mitchell is survived by his mother, Darlene Pierson and husband, Pat of Austin, Texas; his father, Robert J. Garner Sr. and wife, Robbie of Hobbs, New Mexico; one brother, Robert J. Garner Jr. and wife, Bonnie of Austin, Texas; one sister, Sheena L. Garner of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Jordan Caraway of Kilgore, Texas and one son, Jamison Wright of Kilgore, Texas; one grandson, Hunter Cash Caraway of Kilgore, Texas; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mitchell is preceded in death by his beloved paternal grandmother, "Mema", Mrs. Robbie Eddins Garner and maternal grandparents and his aunt D'Aun Ehms Vickers.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 10th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home on North Lamar. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
