Michael was born on June 30, 1954 in Orange, New Jersey. He was a graduate of Livingston High School, Penn State University, and Columbia University Law School.
Michael lived for most of his life in the Atlanta area where he practiced law for over forty years. Higgins and Dubner served clients in the area of general civil law.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joan and James Higgins. He leaves behind his older brothers James, Robert, and Brian, his sisters Sheila and Kathleen, and their families, including many beloved nieces and nephews, as well as a host of friends.
To know Michael was to know his endless curiosity, his love of history, and his appreciation of the American West. He was deeply committed to the civil and legal integrity of this country.
His family is grateful to the loving care provided by the staff of Hospice Austin, Austin RNC, and to St Austin’s Catholic Church.
Services for Michael will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 3rd at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 5416 Parkcrest Dr., Austin, Texas.
